Hair growth is a natural process. However, it takes a bit of effort and a healthy diet to maintain your glossy mane.

Hair is that part of the body which is grown on all parts of the body apart from palms of hand, soles of feet and the eyelids. While somewhere the hair growth is less, on some parts this hair growth is more. The growth of hair happens in a particular growth cycle that goes through three stages, namely- catagen, anagen and telogen. Although, all these phases take place simultaneously, each one has particular characteristics. It means that while one hair strand might be in one phase, the other one would be in another phase. Also, the different characteristics of each phase are what determine the length of the strand of hair.

Human bodies have varying types of hair strands, with each strand possessing a unique cellular construction. While some hair strands are vellus other are androgenic. Vellus hair strands are present on human bodies from the time of birth and are short, fine and are barely noticeable, whereas the androgenic hair are terminal and develop on the human bodies during puberty. Both the types of hair might be of different cellular construction but serve the same purpose of providing warmth and protection.

Though, there is no magic regimen to ensure hair growth because each human being is different; but there are some fundamental things that contribute to hair growth which one must include in day-to-day life. For one, it is very important to develop a regular workout routine for a healthy living. Workouts are responsible for promoting proper blood circulation in the body. This helps stimulate blood cycle, helping blood reach out to the hair follicles and paving way for their nourishment. Nourished hair furthers the process of hair growth whereas, under nourished hair follicles are the main cause of brittle and dull looking ahir, which are prone to breakage and hair fall.

One thing that hampers the hair growth and wrecks havoc on it is stress. Regular workouts also help relieve stress, thus helping maintain healthy hair. A stress free body is abode for a healthy being. Yoga and Pilates are the best known workouts to be stress free, which can be opted for. Besides, a balanced diet is also a basic need for healthy hair. Vitamin B3 is one of the nutrients that are prerequisite for hair growth. This vitamin can be had in the form of tuna, mushrooms and chicken. You might also like to have daily portions of green vegetables including broccoli and spinach. Including beans like lentils and kidney beans is another way to promote hair growth.

Apart from this, intake of nuts like Brazilian nuts, cashews and almonds would also help. Nuts help you maintain a healthy scalp which further paves way for hair growth. A protein rich diet is also a great help to have healthy hair. Make sure you have egg on every day basis, which is rich in proteins.
